One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

Moral: You’re never alone, especially during your most trying times. God is always with you!
I know most people aren’t religious and I also know most of them hate God. I want to believe that they don’t hate God, but religions... and religions are not God! Yet, they might lead us to him... One more irony, don't you agree?
How can people hate someone who loves them?
How can people hate Love?
That’s not possible, isn’t it? Please tell me it isn't.
Whenever I speak about God, I am not referring to any particular religion, so am not referring to my God... I am referring to our God; a "powerful energy" full of love that loves everyone the same way and wants the best for each one of us. Perhaps you find this silly and it’s your right to think whatever you want. I won’t contradict you...
Do you know what some people told me in the past? I will freely tell you... “The ones who believe in God are the weakest people... only the weak ones believe in “something” that can give them hope”. At that time I argued, I defended my point of view, but now, today, I have no more strength to do that. The best thing you can do is to show people so they can see through their eyes and then, it’s up to them to decide. I don’t think it’s needed to offend others to defend our point of view... politicians do that and that’s why I hate politics.
I like this story so much... I was still a child when I read it and it touched me in a quite particular way. Someone who is always with us, rejoicing with our joys and supporting and helping us when we need the most. Who does not want a friend like this? This is what I call friendship and not those friends that only recognise you when you are well, healthy and happy. We all have unbearable moments; times when a hug can save the day and/or a word can be so comforting. Now imagine someone taking you in their arms when you have no more strength to continue walking... Isn't this wonderful? I dare to say that this isn't friendship, it's love!
Who would continue with you in your worst moments? Definitely someone who cares about you; only those who love you will give you some kind of support. It’s so rare to find people like this... if you could know or perhaps you do know...
Generally, people don’t care about others’ suffering. Yeah, you read well; they don’t! On the web everything is perfect; we all are so human, so gentle and so sensitive. So, why the world is the way it is? Who is acting like shit? Is it me?! Only me?! Well, I couldn’t do all these damages, even if I wanted to...
What do I want to transmit with this beautiful story? It’s simple, just this: your pain matters! All your suffering matters! Your life matters, if not to people, you are important to God. Oh, you are agnostic? That’s okay then. You are as important as those who believe. Perhaps, instead of God you can replace it (on the story) by a friend of yours, a relative or any other person. Maybe it was God who has put these people in your life, maybe it wasn’t... I won’t argue about this; I won’t even try to persuade you... I was just thinking out loud. I do this a lot...
At last, I just want to say something I consider important. Be the friend you want to have beside you. I can’t promise you’ll get what you are giving, but I can promise you this: you can always count with me. Like I said before, we are never alone. If you need something, please let me know. Your pain matters and your life is priceless!
